Fix has been added to end of month February builds.
Appears to be fixed and so will be included in February 28th builds.
That build seems to work, can't get it to crash like I did before. Thank you very much for the quick fix!
Well, gg had to test Arch anyway, so he built a static tar at: https://www.cinelerra-gg.org/download/testing/cinelerra-5.1-arch-x86_64-static.txz Building from source is easy enough and documented in Features5.pdf, Andrea uses it all of the time. There are quite a few more changes in the current GIT and this build AND it is only minimally tested. Although as you just discovered even the builds that happen at the end of each month still can have bugs ! |
|
Awesome! I can probably build from source, at least if the build system is fairly standard.
OK, there is a fix that will be checked into the GIT repository within an hour. We can create a static tar for Arch if you do not do your own builds and do not want to wait until February 28th for a new one. Please let me know, if you want us to create an Arch build -- it is easy for us to create a static tar. THANK YOU VERY MUCH for reporting!! |

After a little bit of trial and error, I was able to get a crash. GG looked at it and may have a fix.
