Pierre: thank you for testing. Marking this as resolved and maybe there will be no more crashes. Also, it was recommeded to be able to use arming/disarming to see only the relevant track information in case the timeline gets cluttered. So that was coded in and is in the latest Mint 18 build as referenced in an earlier email. It does not need testing but if you want to use it, it is available! |

Hi Phylis, I finally got to test the new version.... Indeed, the "drag" click now works well in full screen mode (key "f"). As for the crashes... for the moment I haven't had any new ones. If they come back, I'll give you a better report. There may be another bug I'm observing, but it will be the subject of a new report if I can specify the conditions of appearance. Pierre |

Drag fix on the full screen mode has been fixed and this has been checked into the GIT repository. A new Mint 18 build is at: https://cinelerra-gg.org/download/testing/cinelerra-5.1-mint18-x86_64-static.txz A new Ubuntu 16 build is at: https://cinelerra-gg.org/download/testing/cinelerra-5.1-ub16-x86_64-static.txz BE AWARE that these builds also include issue 0000007 - clip copy/paste/delete behavior - so it is possible there are potential problems so DO BACKUPS as you work. |

The drag problem has been fixed but the checkin and a new Mint 18 build has to wait as the development computer is tied up working on another issue. |

No problem for the translation -- I used DeepL and it worked really well. I will have to find out if the Drag can be made to work (I suspect it can but it may take awhile). |

Use the letter "f" on the preview popup to get to full screen mode. Then just hit about any key to get back to previous mode and ESC works too. This even works on my single monitor laptop - you can click the area in the red and white bars you want, but of course have to get out of full screen mode to be able to see anything else! No hurry in testing; we know it is a Sunday rest day. But if you want to test, here is a new Mint 18 build: https://www.cinelerra-gg.org/download/testing/cinelerra-5.1-mint18-x86_64-static.txz Also, we are adamant about getting a complete dump if Pierre is still having crashes -- it will save time in the long run. A single dump if informative and solves the problem will save numerous future crashes. We do not use 192 files in testing so do not see what can happen. Make sure gdb is installed and follow steps in section 6.2 of Features.pdf, the second half which does not require you to run as root. |
