The issue has been fixed with the exception of the possibility from Sam "in C&P mode you have the possibility to copy the locked labels elsewhere with this slightly changed behavior. Without this option I never have the possibility to copy locked labels....would be nice to have both possibilities". GG could not come up with an immediate possibility for this. Maybe in the future, so open up a new issue if it is still needed because maybe an idea will pop up. |

The issue, as described in the Summary, has disappeared time ago then, if you (Sam, Phyllis/GG) agree with me, and you want to close that, for me it's okay. Eventually, we could open another one for the specific feature/issue. Thanks. |

Phyllis/GG, thanks for the built. Thanks for your discussion about, and maybe I should write on ML instead here. Anyway, maybe, a middle way could be as I have done in a quickly photomontage but it is invasive on Settings menu. In the photomontage I added an option "Lock labels from Moving" in Settings menu that it is consistent with its icon. Its function is like it says. Edits label option instead block, or less, the copy&paste of the labels. A greater discussion is needed, I think. Thanks.

This part has been changed as you expect BECAUSE it is consistent with the other software. We had to discuss (i.e. "argue") about this for a couple of days. Still thinking about possibility of making both ways work if we can agree on a variable method of doing so. @Sam Do you know a good way to copy and paste a highlight area in “Cut and Paste editing mode” without the labels? To do that, I have: 1) select area 2) copy and paste 3) select the area where there are the labels that I want to clear 4) menu--> Edit--> Clear labels. I don't see it as a bug, but as a possibility to insert locked labels elsewhere. In D&D mode I already have the possibility to copy only the clips without the locked labels. But in C&P mode you have the possibility to copy the locked labels elsewhere with this slightly changed behavior. Without this option I never have the possibility to copy locked labels. |

I’m so sorry but there are other issues. - “Drag and Drop editing mode” When I drag&drop the clip_A, without select it before, the old space of that clip_A is overwrite (packed). In the previous version it didn’t occur. For the last new issue showed in the screencast https://streamable.com/f0i44, I added a compressed file where you can find Project and source video files (a pair of video files has been changed to reduce the compressed file). That occurs with or without Proxy. I hope it helps. GG had already fixed the first problems you illustrated with the effects not getting placed in the correct spot in a later ubuntu16 build. The last problem you showed where the Fade pink keyframe showed up for not reason was not reproducible here. He will create a new build for you to test tomorrow morning (but it will not be available for a couple of hours). We appreciate your testing and we have been finding little problems that GG keeps fixing as we go along. |

IgorB: Thanks for your in-depth testing. This is getting complicated! Several decisions were made this morning on copying/moving/pasting of the labels, autos, keyframes, and effects that should solve the issues. A new ubuntu16 build is at: https://www.cinelerra-gg.org/download/testing/cinelerra-5.1-ub16-x86_64-static.txz The modifications affect all copy/paste operations and drag&drop and cut&paste. Changes have been checked into the GIT repository. |
