IgorB: this is working correctly. Do you agree? In replaying your video, unused for proxy is always the one not loaded on the timeline and for Media without Proxy is the same. Media folder when proxy is on will be the one not loaded and the 2 without Audio since no part of them is actually loaded. But the ones with audio will be in the "used" state. |

Sorry, at the beginning I explained the issue very badly and I thought the demo video was clearer but I saw it again and you are right. Good Phyllis, your example is perfect for me. Using your good example: 1) load video 1 WITH audio on track 1 (so audio is on track 2) 2) load a different video 2 without audio *on track 1* 3) load a third anything video 3 to Resources only Now, Media Select/unused is only video Three. Make Proxy. Media Select/unused will be only 3, like on Proxy. In my demo video there are two video without audio on Timeline's track "Video1" and when Proxy is enabled, Media Select/unused shows highlight also these two. For me Proxies are only a temporary substitute of Media. What happens to Proxies occurs in the Media, and viceversa, I think. Thanks. |

The Select feature ended up meaning (to us) that this is used or unused with importance being applied to "unused", thus making it very easy to "remove from project". When you have a video with audio, audio is an important factor. When a proxy is made, only the video is proxied and not the audio. So here is an example of how it does and is supposed to work: 1) load video 1 WITH audio on track 1 (so audio is on track 2) 2) load a different video 2 without audio 3) load a third anything video 3 to Resources only In this case Media Select/unused is only video Three. Now make Proxies. Media Select/unused will be 2 and 3 BUT not 1 because you still have the audio on the timeline so you do not want to "remove from project". I hope this clarifies the way it works.
