@Thantermesis Thanks for letting me know you have gotten the desired results. I have marked it Resolved and will close in a couple of days (because Andrea wants to be able to see it first). Extra settings that only a couple of people have are required to resolve/close it to make sure it gets handled completely. |

not very intuitive but yeah, after to click in the first icon in compositor and save settings seems like everything is fine again :) how i can close this ticket as resolved/invalid? i don't see this option |

I think it is not a bug. I think that you (Thanatermesis), as you have already written, have opened a file (Kung.Fury.2015.720p.BluRay.x264-x0r.mkv) that is no longer in the project and it was loaded on a Viewer. As suggested by PhyllisSmith and done by you, my steps are: 1. Load the "project.xml" 2. Close ALL the two (or more) Viewers clicking 3. In Main window, Menu-> Window-> Show_Viewer= checked, to open the Viewer 4. In Resource window, Media bin, double click on one of the three media to load that video on the Viewer (in the Title bar of the Viewer window you can see its name). 5. Move the mouse pointer on the Compositor window and press the F1 key on the keyboard, ..."Protect video from changes (F1)", to disable any Tools of the Compositor window; it also works with the mouse pointer over the Main window. 6. In Main window, Menu-> File-> Save_as...; name the project to change the name to "project_2.xml". 7. Close Cinelerra-GG program. 8. Run Cinelerra-GG again and load the "project_2.xml" file. Sorry, You have already found the solution. In the steps above there is only the "summary". (Tested on CinGG-20220630-x86_64-older_distros.AppImage with UbuntuStudio_16.04_LTS_64bit) @PhyllisSmith Off Topic. It is really strange. @Thanatermesis To get the Projector menu to not come up, you have to click on the top icon on the left side of the Compositor (Protect video from changes is the yellow tip there) to get it to go off because the state of that is saved in $HOME/.bcast5/Cinelerra_rc ascii file settings. The new setting with the Projector menu off is then saved (this is done occasionally but you can use Settings->Save Settings now option to make sure it gets done right away). |

seems like after closing manually each "viewer", it shows up a single viewer now, but the "projector" window still showing up |

The attached project.xml file when viewed with the editor shows there are 2 Viewer windows and the Compositor projector is enabled just as shown. And it certainly seems to work incorrectly as stated so I have to do more analysis unless someone else comes along like @IgorBeg who sees the problem right away. You can at least get rid of the unwanted extra viewer and projector menu by: 1) absolutely for sure make a copy (or 2!) of your current project.xml file 2) load the current project.xml file and delete the extra viewer window and turn off the projector 3) instead of File->save, use File->save as... and use the same name of project.xml (this is why you made copies in case you make a mistake) Meanwhile I will continue to replicate to see if I understand what is happening. |
