Youtube's video edit with CinGG
A hard work you must do with this old camera because it uses a film, no digital. I like the music.

About some question that andreapaz ask me, camera is from 1949 and lenses are from the same age (in this video). I've done an update on my lenses and I will shoot something better in the near future (maybe with sound).
For scan service, for this one I used on8mil, but I prefer at all Kodak scan service (Pinewood, Uk).
The videoworkflow works good with MOV (ProRes) but I would love to use DPX files as imagelist (with toc). Single DPX is supported from ffmpeg but I can't create a toc with DPX files.

Instead of DPX you can try OpenEXR, which, being open source, is fully compatible with ffmpeg.
@andreapaz DPX choice is not up to me, is the Kodak Lab that use this format.
It is a SMPTE standard https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Picture_Exchange and I guess that big labs prefer to work with standards and not with opensource 🙁
But the main problem is that in cinelerra I can use DPX but only as single image, like a PNG.
I would need to use it as imagelist with toc and maybe convert it automatically in a usable proxy file for editing
OpenEXR is a film standard, competing with DPX. It was created for internal use at ILM (the Star Wars people) and then released as open source in hopes of spreading its use. It failed to undermine DPX, so I imagine it's hard to find a Lab that supports it.
I did a test in Cinelerra-GG, exporting a video as a sequence of OpenEXR images (CinGG does not support DPX, which closed). In addition to the images a TOC file was created. I imported in Cinelerra-GG this TOC file and everything works; indeed I must say that the image sequences are much more efficient (and of higher quality) than any video format. (Note: you have to use the Cinelerra-GG engine and not ffmpeg engine which is the standard one).

@andreapaz mmmh, I think that DPX is not closed.
I put libdpx with OpenImageIO patches inside my branch https://github.com/manuvi/cinelerra.git
You can also find the OpenEXR at the latest version. Remember to order the file probe sequence (for DPX), otherwise ffmpeg wins with baad behavior.
It's a base implementation, but it works really nice with my dpx files from Kodak.

Lately support for DPX image sequences has been added via ffmpeg. If you don't want to render only one image, you must use image2, i.e., in the render window, simply type the name .../folder_list/MyName%05d.dpx All this without using "try ffmpeg last", because ffmpeg is used.
Unfortunately lately it doesn't work for me to create image sequences with ffmpeg while they still work with "try ffmpeg last" (which doesn't have DPX). So your updating the DPX and OpenEXR libraries is welcome, as well as being able to use DPX sequences also with the original CinGG engine (since it doesn't work with ffmpeg anymore).
Unfortunately I don't have the skill to apply your git patches.
Could you make a patch to submit to Phyllis (either here on the forum or on the mailing list or in the Bug Tracker), so we can test it and then integrate it into CinGG's git?
